General Exhibitor General Information
The Orchard Park Junior Chamber (Jaycees) presents our 51st Annual Quaker Arts Festival! The Festival is the largest suburban Arts Festival in Western New York.
Dates and Location of Festival The Festival will be held on Saturday, September 15th, and Sunday, September 16th, on the Orchard Park Middle School campus, West Quaker Street (Route 20A) at South Lincoln Avenue.
Festival Hours
Saturday, September 15th 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 16th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Attendance The Annual Quaker Arts Festival attracts approximately 50,000 people to Orchard Park to shop and support the various talented Artists and Craftsmen in our area.
Exhibitors in Attendance The Quaker Arts Festival can accommodate up to 300 Exhibitors presenting a wide variety of Artists and Craftsmen, including Fine Art, Graphics, Photography, Sculpture, Ceramic/Pottery, Fiber (all types)/Leather, Floral Design, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Woodworking, to name a few.
Exhibitor Application All Exhibitors must fully complete an Exhibitor Application. Failure to submit all required items may cause a delay or rejection of your application. Past acceptance to the Festival does not exempt any Exhibitor from submitting all the required items.

Exhibitor Entrants Fee Applications received postmarked BEFORE September 1st: $185.00 for one space or $370 for a double space or postmarked AFTER September 1st: $210 for one space or $420 for a double space. The fee is not refundable unless your application is rejected. You will receive either a postcard or an email acknowledging your acceptance into the Festival. Applicants that are accepted will be mailed their site assignments after August 15th.
Exhibitors who attended the Festival last year and wish to have the same site assignment must mail their completed application postmarked by May 31st. The Committee reserves the right to alter any site location due to changes to the layout of the Festival grounds.
Booth Space All outside display spaces will be 10 x 12 feet (10 feet frontage by 12 feet deep). All indoor display spaces will be 10 x 6 feet (10 feet frontage and not exceeding 6 feet from the wall or rear of the display area). Requests for Indoor display space(s) will be honored until the area is full. In the event of inclement weather, there will be no indoor space provided. The Festival Committee reserves the right to remove or re-arrange any objectionable display or item on display at any time.
THE COMMITTEE’S DECISION IS FINAL.
Classifications for Juried Work The Exhibitor Classifications for our juried Festival are as follows: Painting (Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Pastels, Graphics, Mixed Media), Photography, Sculpture and Crafts. As part of your entry fee, each entrant may submit one work to be juried per space purchased. Works to be juried will be the Exhibitor’s selection and will be submitted between 10:00 a.m. and Noon on Saturday. Judging will commence at Noon on Saturday.
Juried Festival The Quaker Arts Festival presents over $10,000 in Cash Awards, Ribbons, Silver Bowls and Trophy, at the judge’s discretion, based on quality and craftsmanship. The Awards Ceremony is presented on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the Quaker Arts Pavilion.
In 2010, the following Cash Awards were presented:
* Best of Show (Fine Arts) - $600
* Best of Show (Crafts) - $600
* Other Total Cash Awards (Fine Arts) - $4,100
* Other Total Cash Awards (Crafts) - $2,700
* Special Judges Awards (Fine Arts/Crafts) - $2,100
Extra Juried Works Exhibitors may submit work juried in more than one category for an additional
$30.00 fee per piece, per category.
Strict Requirements All works must be original creations of the exhibitor.
Commercial items will be permitted only if incidental to an original creation. For example: commercial buckles may be sold only if attached to an original, hand-tooled leather belt, or live plants or dried flowers may be sold in hand-made pottery planters, but neither commercial buckles, live plants or dried flowers may be sold separately. No “associate” art will be accepted.
Your exhibit must be on display for the entire Festival. Someone must be present at your display at all times. Exhibitors are totally responsible for their display and the sale of their works. Failure to have your exhibit on display for the entire Festival will result in your rejection in next year’s Festival.
Prohibited Items
Use of dyes, airbrush, paint, screen-printing or printed panels to enhance a clothing item.
Sale of commercially produced t-shirts, regardless of what you apply to them.
Kit assembled items or imported items.
Sale of hair barrettes, hair ribbons, scrunchies, toupees or wigs.
Sale of foods, herbs, potpourri, incense, soaps, perfumes, body oils, chewing gum, drinks, candy, etc.
Sale of any craft using recycled items (milk cartons, soda cans, egg cartons, etc.)
Raffles or promise of a free gift to encourage a “home party.”
Jewelry, whether produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic or other materials must be created by the Exhibitor. No plastic beaded Jewelry will be accepted.
No commercial casts or molds will be allowed.
